DIY Personal Training is an evolutionary approach to exercise
and fitness, combining: fitness industry knowledge, personal
training experience and Masters level academia in Sports &
Exercise Science.
Our website is designed to provide everyone with the benefits,
experience and knowledge of a personal trainer. Through easy
to understand guides, we provide essential information about
your specific exercise needs, and the exercises to begin learning
how to design your own exercise program.
The unique approach of DIY Personal Training targets
development of balance and co-ordination, which improves
'core stability' as the muscles supporting the spine and pelvis, in
particular the 'abs' or ABDOMINALS are strengthened. This
fatigues the nervous system which in turn burns more calories;
as do total body exercises, which are central to our exercise
database content. These movements have a huge effect on
weight loss as they require more energy, as well as continuing
to burn calories during the recovery time after exercise.
Whether your goals are: to lose weight, tone up, improve fitness
or even recovery from injury, DIY Personal Training provides you
with the foundations to achieve these goals. General exercise
guidelines will not work long-term, exercise must be prescribed
based upon individual need, otherwise the chances of injury rise
significantly.
